Sneak Peek at Club Ride Apparel

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Cycling attire is synonymous with Lycra and matching kits, but it’s nice to know that someone else shares my aversion towards tight fitting bike wear. Club Ride came down from Sun Valley, Idaho to attend Dealer Camp and debuted a few new pieces of men’s and women’s clothing, which are looking mighty stylish.

Club Ride has been making relaxed-fitting, Western-inspired bike clothing since 2007, and we’ve been excited to carry their men’s and women’s jerseys and shorts for a few years. But what they call bike jerseys are really more like lightweight polo shirts that happen to be loaded up with technical features that you need during a sweaty pedalfest. High-tech fabrics do the brunt of the work; vents, media ports and pockets are added for practicality; and stylish design means a post-ride trip to the busy brew pub doesn’t get awkward.

And as if Club Ride’s apparel wasn’t focused enough on the lifestyle of biking, they’ll be launching an urban line in 2013 that features the same fabric technologies (moisture-wicking, anti-stink, etc) but designed for more everyday wear that may or may not include some time in the saddle (think: pedaling up to Main Street for lunch or rolling out to Deer Valley for a summer concert).
